This Watch

Henri Frédéric Sandoz, born in 1851 in Le Locle, Switzerland, was a self-made man who founded Henri Sandoz & Cie. in the 1870s.  In 1890, after producing complicated watches for Cyma, Sandoz formed a partnership with Schwob and established a company at Malleray, near Tavannes.  This new business was known as Tavannes Watch Co., although many watches were still produced under the name of Henri Sandoz & Fils.  The enterprise occupied a 'model factory' and employed over 1,000 staff, producing 2,500 watches per day.  After the death of Sandoz in 1913, the company continued to expand and 25 years later, it was manufacturing over 4,000 products per day.

Extra Points

All stainless steel dive style case with a fantastic multilayered original dial with very interesting and unusual markers.

What we think

Looks especially great on a leather racing strap for a more sporty aesthetic.
