The Oris Divers Sixty-Five watch was produced as a heritage line, capturing the essence of Oris's 1965 original, with the use of modern materials and movements to bring it up to date, and we love the modern version!
Our Sixty-Five is complete with automatic movement and date function, with the Oris 733 caliber housed inside a whooping 42mm, stainless steel, screw-back case, complete with the Oris shield.
The case also has crisp-edged, tapering lugs, a sapphire crystal and uni-directional bezel. The dial is a stunning, deep-blue and has lumed indices, hour, minute and sweeping, central seconds hands.
This watch is sold with its original Oris box and paperwork. It comes paired on its original Oris tropic-style, rubber strap, complete with Oris buckle. The watch is from January 2017 and is sold in hardly worn condition, having been worn only a handful of times.
Oris was founded in 1904 by two men, Paul Cattin and Georges Christian. The name comes from a brook at the Swiss town of Hölstein, in a short span of time they became the largest employer in Hölstein. By 1929, they had a total of six factories. At the end of the 1960s, Oris became one of the largest watch companies in the world, producing approximately 1.2 million timepieces a year.
What we think
Easily one of my favourite Oris Sixty-Five models, this watch is the complete set. At 42mm, it is a larger watch, but it is definitely a comfortable fit on the wrist.
