This Watch

Oris was founded in 1904 by two men, Paul Cattin and Georges Christian. The name comes from a brook at the Swiss town of Hölstein, in a short span of time they became the largest employer in Hölstein. By 1929, they had a total of six factories. At the end of the 1960s, Oris became one of the largest watch companies in the world, producing approximately 1.2 million timepieces a year.

This Oris Miles Rectangular Day Date, model 585 7525 4002, comes in a multi-piece, stainless steel case with a mineral back so that the automatic movement is visible.

Extra Points 

A symmetrical dial with the day at 12 o'clock and date at 6 o'clock, this dial is made even more appealing with its engine-turned finish, Art Deco-style, luminous, Arabic numerals and sweeping central seconds.

What we think

The slight curve to the case makes this watch incredibly comfy to wear. This is Oris design at its best, with hints to Art Deco alongside their famous, modern construction. using some art deco notes along with modern construction.  Check out the night time shot - wow!
