This Watch

This jumbo Omega, coming in at 38mm, is quite rare for a watch of this age! We love its large, 18ct pink gold case, which houses the impeccable Omega manual wind, caliber 266 movement.

The cream dial has a gorgeous, even patina, expected with a watch of this age, and gives the timepiece character.  Applied gilt arrow markers adorn the outer edge of the dial, with a printed, minute track just inside.  The watch also has gilt hour and minute hands and subsidiary seconds.

Extra Points

Formerly known as the La Generale Watch Co. it was founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. In 1903 they renamed the company Omega until 1982 when they officially changed their name to Omega SA. They are part of the Swiss Swatch Group.

What we think

We absolutely adore the symmetry of this dial, it gives the watch a very understated level of sophistication.  We've tried it on a number of different straps and it's just one of those watches that can wear anything! It does come up a little bigger than most vintage watches of the same era, but both genders can definitely pull it off!
