Formerly known as the La Generale Watch Co. it was founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. In 1903 they renamed the company Omega until 1982 when they officially changed their name to Omega SA. They are part of the Swiss Swatch Group.
We have here a rare Omega Seamaster 600 model. The rarity being the all Arabic numerals and date function. The 34mm stainless steel, screw-back case is sleek and slim. At 40mm lug to lug, the polished and brushed case with gently curved lugs ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. The thin bezel holds its original Acrylic Crystal. Now for the star of the show, a vibrant satin-silver, all-original dial with the most amazing faceted, raised numerals, which catch the light in an exciting way as you turn your wrist to check the time. All chrome markers and no gold here! The date window at 3 o'clock, central seconds and chrome hour and minute hands complete this incredible dial. It's readability is just perfect, Omega really got this right. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with hippocampus and inside, a manually-wound Omega Cal. 611, 17 jewels that has been fully serviced and keeps spectacular time. Fitted quality leather strap 18mm strap.
The watch is from circa 1966 and is in worn vintage condition so signs of wear and age will be seen, scratches to the case, a few very minor marks to the dial that can be seen under magnification. The watch comes with our 12-months NON-waterproof warranty.
