Founded in 1847 in Paris by Louis-François Cartier, Cartier has become one of the best-known brands in the watch world. The attention to detail and eye for design has resulted in timeless pieces that are loved by all.
Born from the jewellery collaboration with Jeanne Toussaint, who later became Cartier's Director of Fine Jewellery, the Panthère has a long history. The panther pattern was first seen on a watch in 1914 and was made from white diamonds and onyx. One of the most famous representations of the Panthère was the three-dimensional brooch made for the Duchess of Windsor in 1948 (and recently sold at auction for over $7 million). It wasn't until 1983 that Cartier launched the Panthère line of quartz watches and was worn by the likes of Keith Richards and Pierce Brosnan.
This watch comes fully serviced by our on-site workshop and with a 12 month, non-waterproof service cover.
