This Watch

We have here a classic 'Must de' Cartier Ronde with a trademark Roman numeral dial and Vendôme lugs in vermeil 925 sterling silver gilt from the 1990s.  The watch has all the features of that classic Cartier style but with a slim, sleek design and an original dial.  Black Roman numerals, railway-style minute tracking, sword-shaped blued hands and cabochon setting crown.  We particularly love the articulated, Vendôme lugs which add an extra touch of elegance and sophistication.

The vermeil case, also known as silver gilt, or gold-plated sterling silver, measures 30mm and is a very comfortable wear on the wrist for both him and her.  Inside the case is the Swiss quartz caliber, fully serviced by us and running strongly.  This watch  comes on its original Cartier signed black strap to complement the dial but it looks great on brown too.  The watch comes with the original Cartier buckle.

 

Extra Points 

The 'Must De' Cartier concept was first introduced around 1973 when the Cartier lighter became the must-have accessory.  Cartier branched out from jewellery to pens, leather goods, fragrances and more affordable watches.  One of the main ways they transformed their designs way by making them out of vermeil, or silver gilt, which is gold-plated sterling silver. This made the watches more affordable whilst still having the prestige of being made from a precious metal. Various sizes, dial colours and finishes were then produced for both men and women. The Must de Cartier line was faded out at the beginning of the 21st century.

This watch comes fully serviced by our on-site workshop and with a 12 month, non-waterproof service cover.
