During the late 1960s and 1970s, Omega produced a series of timepieces under the “Seamaster Cosmic” name, which sought to capitalise on Omega’s NASA/space travel heritage, and breathe new life into their Seamaster collection with casual and dress watches that embraced a more modern and futuristic design. Omega produced the Seamaster Cosmic in a number of different styles and configurations, including a dive watch with an integrated bracelet.
The beautiful silvered dial sets the stage for really elegant appearance which is fittingly finished with steel baton indices and black hands. The applied Omega logo adds an additional flair to the dial which has aged nicely.
What we think
The 38mm stainless steel case forms a great presence on ones wrist, which in part is due to the nicely rounded bezel, but also due to the generous size for a watch of this era. The watch has a timeless and contemporary feel to it. A fantastic addition to anyone's collection.
If you're looking for an affordable, attractive and reliable vintage watch, you'd be pushed to find a better example and a better complete packaged, which also holds its own with most Omega watches made today.
