This watch

We are delighted to present this exceptionally rare and striking Juvenia Ladies Bangle Watch from the 1970s. This piece is a true collector's item in New Old Stock (NOS) condition, remaining completely unused and pristine since the era of its manufacture.

The watch is a magnificent example of 1970s high fashion, showcasing a unique and bold cushion/shield-shaped case. The case and the integrated bangle are crafted from solid silver (as indicated by the hallmark visible in the photographs) and finished with a luxurious Roman Numeral dial. The surrounding bezel features a distinctive, ribbed, bubble-like texture that gives the watch a sculptural quality.

The minimalist dial shouts Cartier styling, Simply signed 'JUVENIA,' offers a powerful contrast to the vintage silver tone , focusing all attention on the unusual case design. This is a manual-winding piece that is less a timepiece and more a statement jewellery cuff. This watch comes totally unused new old stock which is another amazing bonus! you could be the first to wear it! Extra Points

In 1860, Jacques Didisheim, a descendant of an Alsatian family, founded a watchmaking workshop in Saint-Imier, Switzerland.  Juvenia is named after his wife. Several years later, the manufacture was re-established in La Chaux-de-Fonds, this was an ideal location for developing the brand. In 1880 they became one of the first watchmaking houses to make ladies watches. 1908 saw the introduction of a range of extra-flat movements which they manufactured in-house. In 1914 they showcased at the Swiss National Exhibition the world's thinnest watch at that time. It measured 9.5 mm in diameter and 2.5 mm in thickness. Over the years they have become famous for original and avant-garde designs. Their success continued with the opening of 2 Boutiques in Shanghai and Beijing in 2009.

What We Think

This Juvenia Bangle is an absolute showstopper. The combination of the unusual cushion shape, the aged silver colour, and the tactile, ribbed texture of the case and bangle makes this a true work of wearable art. Finding a 1970s piece of this high quality in unused (NOS) condition is extremely rare. It’s the ultimate statement piece for a collector who appreciates bold, sculptural vintage jewellery design.
