A beautifully preserved Lanco Swiss automatic in new old stock / unused condition, complete with its original stainless bracelet—and the dial is the whole reason you stop scrolling. It’s a true fumé finish: a “smoked” gradient where the colour darkens towards the outer edge and lightens toward the centre, giving the face depth and drama without adding any clutter.
On this one, the colour reads as a smoky warm graphite / chocolate-taupe—in some light it looks like espresso-brown, and in others it leans charcoal—always with that darker perimeter pulling your eye into the centre. It’s subtle, grown-up and very period-correct.

In 1873, the Langendorf Watch Company was founded to produce watches under the Lanco name, located in the village of Langendorf, Switzerland. Building machines to manufacture watches in a new and innovative way. With the influx of cheap quartz watches during the 1970s from Asia, the operation was finally closed down in 1973. As of 1998, new Lanco watches are being sold in South Africa by S. What we think
Fumé dials are having a moment again, but the vintage ones hit differently: the gradients tend to be softer, the tones warmer, and the whole watch feels more “designed” rather than “styled.” Add the crisp, angular steel case and the original bracelet and you’ve got a seriously wearable, slightly left-field vintage Swiss daily.
