This Watch

We are madly in love with this Omega Seamaster "Seachero" Model 2996-1 from 1959.  The watch has all the elements of late 1950s design: slim, chrome, hour baton markers with a double baton at 12 o'clock, elegant, chrome hour, minute and sweeping central seconds and a subtly tonneau case-shape.  But what we especially love about this watch is the honeycomb dial with a fantastic patina, which lends no doubt to the originality of the dial.  The patina is very even and does not distract from the symmetry of the dial.

The 36mm stainless steel case has the same reference to the Ranchero, which in its day was considered an entry-level Seamaster but is now very much in demand.  Inside is the mechanical manual wind Omega caliber 285.
