But both original and not replacements as you will see from time to time.

The large 38mm stainless steel case screwback is  corectly engraved "WWW P27538 / 32538 " and houses the manual wind in house Cyma Tavannes caliber 234 Fully serviced by us and running strongly.

Extra Points

The WWW British issue wristwatches are perhaps the most desired and collectible watches among all those issued to the British Army. This is because they were the first to be specially designed and custom made for the British Army.

'WWW' is said to stand for Watch, Wrist, Waterproof and was the descriptive code used by the British Army to identify it as a piece of equipment issued by the government.

There were 12 Swiss manufacturers of the WWW contracted to the forces, and as such, the collection is commonly referred to by collectors and dealers alike as “The Dirty Dozen”.

This watch comes fully serviced by our on-site workshop and with a 12 month, non-waterproof service cover.

What we think

We always get excited by military watches.  They have such an iconic design, obviously utilitarian but somehow they always seem to have some character, too.  We've paired this beauty on a Khaki Green canvas Nato style one-piece  strap, but it will look equally good on any colour We have other colours available.  A perfect addition to Dirty Dozen enthusiasts collection or a first time military watch buyer. In our opinion The Cyma WWW has one of the better made cases and more substantial than most of the 12. In solid steel and at 38MM one of the largest too.
