Every Swiss watch company made a model which stands out from others and the Green horse is one of them! Rado are a well established Swiss watch company mainly supplying watches to the Asian Market. Famous for making high end Ceramic watches and unusual facet crystal glasses but they also made classic vintage pieces like this Automatic Green horse. At fist glance you could easily ,mistake it for an Omega seamaster like this.
Down to its shape , dial layout and great quality slidelock beads of rice bracelet , This watch stands tall next to any Omega seamaster or longines flagship. The condition as you can see is great and it even has what seems to be its original cyplops glass with date magnifier. The added ret date disc also a great touch - Signed crown , clasp and cool caseback logo all making a well designed and well made wristwatch.
The original steel quality BOR bracelet has an unusual ratchet locking system for the perfect fit and can be fine adjusted by yourself in different temperatures.
This case and design also has registered patents.
The original, super condition satin silver dial is complete with the date window at 3 o'clock. We love the clean lines and unusual design facet markers with sword hands and the dial is also signed 'Rado, with the famous Rado ancor logo at 12 o'clock which actually moves on a pivot in different positions. at 6 the Green Horse logo. Nothing screams 'classic dress watch' like this 1960s Rado elegant model and is one of our favourite purchases this month.

The Schlup & Co. watch factory was founded by the brother’s Fritz, Ernst and Werner in 1917. What we think
I have personally had the pleasure of test driving this lovely watch and nearly kept it. A difficult watch to put a price point on but feel its worth every Penny when you see the Modern limited editions available Here!
A fully serviced vintage piece and in our opinion dated to the 1960s - Unlike some found online suggesting this is a 1980s watch, In our humble opinion this watch was produced in the mid to late 1960s which would tie up well with the As 1700 Caliber used. If this watch a 1980s piece it would have certainly used an Eta Variant. So come and get it before i change my mind and keep it.
