1995 Omega Speedmaster Automatic Day Date Model 352.5000 in Stainless Steel on Bracelet + Box and Card

This Watch

Formerly known as the La Generale Watch Co. it was founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. In 1903 they renamed the company Omega until 1982 when they officially changed their name to Omega SA. They are part of the Swiss Swatch Group.

Chronograhs have often had historical significance, timing and calculating some of the world's most important events, and one watch that always comes to mind when discussing these notable occasions is the Omega Speedmaster, as it was the first watch to be worn on the moon (it was actually the watch of choice for all six lunar missions), and it's from here that it has, rightly, earned its nickname of 'the Moon Watch.'

This Omega Speedmaster is particularly special.  It's black dial features both the day and the month on the 30 minute recorder subsidiary dial at 12 o'clock, as well as small seconds with a 24-hour hand subsidiary dial and a 12 hour recorder.  The hour, minute, chronograph seconds and date indicator all sit on the central pinion, with the tachymeter on the bezel.

Extra Points

The Omega caliber 1151 sits inside a stainless steel, screw-back case, measuring 39mm, with the original Omega, stainless steel bracelet.
The watch comes complete with its original box and papers, making it the complete package! The date on the sales card is 2001.

What we think

Not only is the Speedmaster one of Omega's most iconic timepieces, but it is arguably the most iconic chronograph.  And, not only is it in great condition, but its also the full set! We feel silly not keeping it for ourselves!
