This Watch

The first Top Times were introduced in 1964 and marketed as an entry-level chronograph, compared with Breitling's flagship watches, the Navitimer and Chronomat.  The Top Time has, however, gone on to become a highly sought after watch and an icon of pop culture, worn, most famously, by Sean Connery in Thunderball.
Sid James in the 1973 film "Carry on Girls" was another fan of the Breitling Top Time, although he preferred the rarer panda dial, which we have here.

Extra Points

We're incredibly excited by this all original Top Time!

The 38mm, stainless steel case adds a visual weight to the watch, without the bezel feeling like it is taking away precious dial space, after all, there is a lot to read!

The three registers on the dial serve up a classic racing aesthetic, complemented by the outer tachymeter scale.  The thin hands and baton markers allow for easy reading and extra clarity.

This watch has been fully serviced by our on-site workshop and comes with our 12 month, non-waterproof service cover.

What we think

This line of watches has been around for over 50 years and it is still one of the cleanest chronographs we've seen.  The Breitling 810 gives a simplicity to the overly sporty design of most chronographs and still, despite its age, has a modern appearance.  It's an underrated chronograph that has a certain purity to its beauty.
