This Watch

We're not sure if we've seen a more 1970s Omega Geneve! We love the green, fume dial and chrome, applied baton markers.  With the dial at 3 o'clock and elegant hour, minute and sweeping central seconds hands.

The Omega caliber 1012 is housed a large (at 38mm), futuristic-style, square, stainless steel case, complete with hooded lugs.

Extra Points

Formerly known as the La Generale Watch Co. it was founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. In 1903 they renamed the company Omega until 1982 when they officially changed their name to Omega SA. They are part of the Swiss Swatch Group.

What we think

The 1970s may just be the greatest decade to ever happen (not least because that's when I was born).  Omega's designs were so fitting for this new, space-age feel and we absolutely adore how this watch embodies new technological innovations that were happening when it was produced.  We've got this watch on a black, leather Omega strap and buckle, but it really can wear anything!  And it comes complete with the original box and papers.  The whole set! How perfect!
