We have here a quite unusual Cartier ladies watch. It is solid 18ct gold, unlike most of the Must de Cartier and Vermeil models that are sterling silver 925 with 20 micron plating on top. The stunning and sophisticated watch is not only solid gold, but it is made up of three different types of gold - pink, while and yellow, making the watch stand out more and adds more of a jewellery aspect to the watch. The Trinity collection remains one of Cartier's most popular jewellery designs since it was conceived by Louis Cartier in 1924. The case itself is in fine condition and measures 24mm, making for a very comfortable wear on the wrist for a more petite/ladies wrist or someone who prefers discreet quality. Inside the case is the Swiss quartz caliber 81, fully serviced by us and running strongly.
The original, white dial has all the trademarks of a classic Cartier: Roman numerals, outer minute, railway-style tracking and cabochon winding crown. The dial also has developed some crazy pave/mosaic effect due to aging, which also adds to the character of the watch.
The Vendôme lugs with the T-bar-type strap fitting are articulated and we've paired the watch on a genuine french lizard strap and The watch also comes with a Cartier box.

The 'Must De' Cartier concept was first introduced around 1973 when the Cartier lighter became the must-have accessory. Cartier branched out from jewellery to pens, leather goods, fragrances and more affordable watches. One of the main ways they transformed their designs way by making them out of vermeil, or silver gilt, which is gold-plated sterling silver. This made the watches more affordable whilst still having the prestige of being made from a precious metal. Various sizes, dial colours and finishes were then produced for both men and women. The Must de Cartier line was faded out at the beginning of the 21st century.

We sold an identile watch recently and it did not last long It is a brand that offers timeless elegance across all of its watches, yet never fails to produce a variety of adaptations in its classic designs.
