This Watch

We have here a beautiful example a mechanical manual wind dress watch one of the most prestigious jewellers in the world.  The 9ct gold case has unusual, crab claw lugs.  The white dial, which has aged well, has applied, gilt, Arabic numerals that are clean and elegant.  The gilt, leaf hour and minute hands add another layer of timelessness to an already classic-looking dress watch.
The case back is engraved with 'The Tarmac Group, Presented to W. H. Young, in recognition of 25 years service.'

Extra Points

Founded by George Wicks in 1735, Garrard is the longest serving jeweller in the world.  Within the first year of business, Garrard had received its first royal commission, and it was in 1843 that Garrard was appointed the first official Crown Jeweller.  Garrard has served every British monarch since then, as well as many other royal families around the world, and crown jewellery continues to be designed and crafted by them.  They have also made trophies for events including the Americas Cup, the ICC Cricket World Cup and Royal Ascot.

What we think

If you're looking for an affordable, attractive and reliable vintage dress watch, you'd be pushed to find a better example, especially one that is the full package as it comes with the original box and presentation card.  It looks stunning on both men and women.
