Extra Points
The Swiss luxury watch company Tissot from Le Locle, Switzerland, was established in 1853 by Charles Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile. Under Charles-Emile’s direction, they manufactured pocket watches with parts from Russia and the United States. In 1915, the company began producing wristwatches. Between 1920 and 1977, Tissot produced its own movements. In 1930 to survive the 1929 crash and economic crisis they entered into an agreement with Omega to form the SSIH Group which 53 years later became the Swatch Group.
The watch comes fully serviced by our on-site workshop and with our 12 months, non-waterproof service cover.
What we think
In our opinion, this Tissot is equal to what Omega was producing at the time in style and quality. It is one not to be missed - the dial alone is exquisite - and it will look great in an established collection or a perfect piece for a first-time, vintage watch buyer who wants a slightly larger watch. This watch is a limited number and hard to find now. We are big fans of Tissot watch co and they arr such an under rated watch manufacturer and designer. A very close relationship with omega watch co and even using the same Movements and case components during the 1950s to 1070s.Spec Stuff
