This Watch

We have here a rather unusual 1970s’s Gold Plated Curtis Liberty Coin Wristwatch  very much in the Corum coin watch style but without the pricetag .A stylish heavy gold plated $20 Liberty coin watch by Curtis watch co dating to the 1970 ’s.The dial is in the form of an American coin with a raised image of Liberty to the centre. The hours are marked in stars and it has two simple black hands. The dial reads both ‘Liberty’ and ‘Curtis’.The bezel has a reeded coin edge, just as a coin would. The case is finished in heavy micron gold plating and really is in super hardly used condition. The case-back is marked with a serial no. 151.The watch has a 17 jewel, Swiss made mechanical/manual wind movement. It comes on a nice quality brown lizard grain 17mm Strap

The watch comes fully serviced by our on-site workshop and with our 12 months, non-waterproof service cover.

What we think

This piece just goes to prove you do not have to be a mainstream watch manufacturer to produce a good quality , fun and interesting serviceable watch.  A piece everyone needs in a collection with a very good Swiss movement and solid case.
