This Watch

We have here a rare and unusual Tudor Chameleon in a solid 18k Gold case. This watch was also produced by Rolex in Various styles. Introducing the Tudor Chameleon, a watch that truly lives up to its name. This stunning timepiece boasts a 0.17mm gold case that shimmers and changes with the light, just like the reptile it's named after. The closed caseback ensures the movement remains protected, while the sapphire faceted glass adds a vintage touch to the design. The Tudor Chameleon has a rich history, dating back to the 1970s when it was first introduced. It quickly became a favourite among watch enthusiasts for its unique design and high-quality craftsmanship. The manual movement is a nod to Tudor's heritage, as the brand has a long history of producing exceptional mechanical watches. The name "Chameleon" is inspired by the reptile's ability to change its colour to blend in with its surroundings. Similarly, the Tudor Chameleon adapts to any occasion, whether it's a formal event or a casual day out. Invest in the Tudor Chameleon and add a touch of luxury to your collection. This watch is a true masterpiece that will stand the test of time!

Extra Points

Just after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf, founder of Rolex, knew that the time had come to expand and give the Tudor brand a true identity of its own.  He created the “Montres TUDOR S.A.” company on the 6th March 1946, specialising in models for men and women.  Rolex guaranteed the technical, aesthetic, and functional characteristics, along with the distribution and after-sales service.

In 1947 Tudor introduced the Oyster, their first waterproof watch, building on the success of the Rolex Oyster of the same period.  In 1952, 26 Tudor Oyster Prince watches were included in the British scientific expedition to Greenland, organised by the Royal Navy and sponsored by The Queen.  This showed the world how robust Tudor Oyster watches were.

This watch comes fully serviced by our on-site workshop and with a 12 month, non-waterproof service cover.
